“I’m glad we met.
I had been in Rio for 4 months learning Portuguese. I worked in a Hostel a stone’s throw from one of the world’s most iconic beaches, Ipanema. Life was great and time floated by like a Gringo (foreigner) in the Ipanema beach rip; fast. Working at the Hostel is how I met them. They worked there or were guests. You meet a shit tonne of people at Hostels and you build a lot of unique friendships.
